I'm always amazed when I see the world out the window of an airplane. Coming into New York at 6am, I could see the coast outlined in lights, and lights spread out in an even grid marking neighborhoods. I always find that really beautiful, to see the world lit up in the dark like that. And it's pretty surprising, too, to see how man has conquered ( Read more... )

There's a tightness in my chest like I can't breathe. I'm lying in bed staring up at the ceiling - which I can't see, it being dark and all, and also there's a sleep mask over my eyes.
